Paper Weights::

Most projects are printed on either "book " stock or "cover/card" stock. Book will have the feel of the copy paper you may have in your office. It comes in varying weights and finishes. The lighter weights are less expensive and can be helpful in keepinig the postage price down on a mailing piece. Book weight pieces are characterized by excellent folding qualities and durability. A wide variety of book stocks are readily available.

Cover stock, also known as card stock is heavy, stiff paper. While it is extremely durable, they may need to be scored before they are folded, thereby adding to your budget and your timeline. Cover stock is used for:

  • Counter cards
  • Tags
  • Invitations



Speciality Stocks::

These are generally used for special pieces, such as portfolios, business cards and invitations. There is a vast array of these stocks, and they are usually more expensive and subject to minimum orders. Additioanly, they may need to be specially ordered from the mill which generally means a fair amount of delay.
